Houston’s Federal American Grill to Open a Phoenix Outpost
The Federal American Grill is a Houston-based restaurant that will establish roots in the Valley this year. It will be joining the roster at the Scottsdale 101 Shopping Center this fall, having recently secured the 7,600 square-foot space that was formerly Denny’s and The Elephant Bar before that.

This will be the fourth location for Federal American Grill, which started in 2013.
Controversial whiskey-fueled restaurant serves up comfort food to Katy
The 9,000-square-foot restaurant will undergo an extensive set of renovations to match the look and feel of Federal Grill’s locations on Shepherd Drive and in Hedwig Village, including the installation of a glassed-in kitchen, private dining rooms, and an expansive patio. All told, the restaurant will seat more than 250 people. Expect an opening in the spring.

Houston restaurant plans to open in defiance of Harris County order
HOUSTON — Federal American Grill owner Matt Brice opened one of his restaurant’s dining rooms to customers Friday evening, despite Harris County’s “Stay Home, Work Safe” order.
Only the Hedwig Village location on the Katy Freeway is open for dinner. Brice said the mayor of Hedwig Village is OK with the plan.
